Ravi Kishan bares all for Chitkabrey

Following in the footsteps of actors like John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ravi Kishan has stripped for his upcoming Hindi film "Chitkabrey", slated to hit the screens Aug 26.

The Bollywood actor, who is also very popular in Bhojpuri cinema, shed all his clothes for a scene in the film that is about the intricacies of relationships in a world that is becoming smaller and smaller due to the fast-paced digital and technological revolution.

"There is a scene in the film where Ravi Kishan's character is surrounded by economically well-to-do family students in the college and he is tortured for being nice. The more he argues the more he is tortured and is finally stripped naked and is asked to talk dirty. He is left with no choice but to give up," said Suneet Arora, the director.

The actor, who has been a part of Hindi films like "Tere Naam", "Luck", "Raavan" and "Tanu Weds Manu", among others, was quite apprehensive in doing the bold scene.

"We had to stop the shooting for two hours because Ravi wasn't comfortable doing the scene. Then I sat with him, discussed it and told him that the scene is the centre point of the film and the story revolves around it, so he agreed to do it. He is very professional," revealed Arora. In the past, John and Neil Mukesh have gone nude for their respective films. While John dropped his clothes for a chilling scene in " New York", Neil did the same for a scene in the film "Jail".

‘The Girl In Yellow Boots’ goes to US

Anurag Kashyap's next That Girl In Yellow Boots has achieved something that even the biggest blockbusters have not.

It has managed to get itself distributors who will release the film with 30 prints in the US and that too in theatres not meant for just the NRI audience but also Americans.

The film will now release globally on September 2, a year after its completion. And that is because the director had failed to find a proper distributor so far.

"Indian distributors think that films that do not have a Bollywood star are not fir for international release. The point is that they only chase the NRI audience and are not willing to explore other markets. They have not even thought of the audience from the other country," explains Kashyap.

In USA Indie Pix is releasing it with 30 prints, all in non-NRI theatres. "We have also sold the film in Scandinavian countries, Turkey, Southern Europe, New Zealand etc. We have also sold satellite rights in many countries. This is why I held on to this film. Today investors who don't want to invest in Bollywood are funding me globally. I have got eleven films going on floors next year," he concludes.

Abhishek Bachchan gets 3 months to shape up

Director Puri Jagannath's Hindi film " Businessman" has been postponed till next year, giving lead actor Abhishek Bachchan three straight months to get in shape for the role that requires him to have an enviable physique. While much has been said and written about Abhishek getting into the fitness regime, what is not known is that "Businessman" would require Abhishek to be in excellent shape. "In fact, more than 'Dhoom 3' where all the action sequences would centre on Aamir Khan, it is 'Businessman' where Abhishek would really have to work on his physique. It's the story of a suave agile gangster who treats his work like a proper organized business and gets into the action mode on several occasions," says a source. In fact, it's said that one reason why the film has been postponed is to let Abhishek build a physique like that of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who plays the title role in the Telugu version of "Businessman."

Sheen planning ‘Two and a Half Men’ funeral party

Actor Charlie Sheen is throwing a party to watch his character Charlie Harper’s funeral on ‘Two and a Half Men.’

Sheen was fired from the sitcom and replaced by Ashton Kutcher after his eccentric behavior and feuds with creator Chuck Lorre, who has now decided Charlie Harper dies off screen.

However, the 45-yearold claims he isn’t angry and is looking forward to watch the first episode of the ninth series, set at his funeral.

‘I will be watching my fake funeral, attended by my fake ex-girlfriends, from my very, very real movie theatre, with my very real hotties in tow (sic),’ femalefirst. co.uk quoted Sheen as saying.

Charlie - who at one time was the highest paid TV star in America when he appeared in 'Two and a Half Men' - was eventually fired from the comedy series after concerns were raised about his conduct off set, with him going on drug binges and partying with porn stars.

He has been replaced by Ashton Kutcher, who will play Walden Schmidt, a brokenhearted internet billionaire who purchases Charlie's house after his death.

The funeral will be attended by a host of Charlie's characters former girlfriends as well as his brother Alan (Jon Cryer) and nephew Jake (Angus T. Jones), who will stay in the house when Walden buys it and moves in.

Although Ashton reportedly ruffled a few feathers on set by turning up with a huge trailer, which some crew members thought was "over the top" he is now thought to have won them over with his professionalism.

A set source said of filming: "Everything so far is smooth. A little too soon to tell but Ashton seems very likable and professional. We're all very happy to be working with him."

'Two and a Half Men' season nine will air next month.

Doing rom-com would be disaster for me: Craig

Actor Daniel Craig, who has featured as British spy James Bond in 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace', does not think it would be a good idea for him to appear in a romantic comedy.

'I'm not about to do a rom-com. It would be a disaster. Good movies aren't just funny. Good movies aren't just sad. Good movies aren't just serious. They're all of those things,' contactmusic. com quoted the 43-year-old as saying.

'In good movies, you should be involved in the characters. Not getting deep about it but I think that's more interesting,' he added. However, Craig admits he would like to see a little more humor in the forthcoming James Bond film '23', directed by Sam Mendes.

'The humor has to come from truth, at how ridiculous the situations are. If it's just gags for the sake of gags, I'm not interested in that. I want to get the wryness back into it. It's a balance because you've got to believe that he's going to be alive at the end of the movie. That's a James Bond movie,' he said.

Jennifer Lopez joins ‘Parker’ cast

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly signed on to star opposite Jason Statham in the upcoming film `Parker.’

The 42-year-old star along with Nick Nolte will join the previously announced British actor in the cast of Taylor Hackford’s forthcoming thriller, which is based on Donald Westlake’s novel `Flashfire’, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The `American Idol’ judge, who took a three year break from films before making `The Back-Up Plan’ last year, will play a real estate agent, while Nick will portray a mentor to Statham`s lead character. "She plays a real estate agent who finds that a little larceny may in fact be in the cards for her," said the director.

The film will see Statham play a thief who lives by his own code of honor - including never taking money from those who need it - but will kill when necessary. Patti LuPone, Emma Booth, Michael Chiklis, Wendell Pierce and Clifton Collins Jr will also star in the movie. The film is set to be released in October 2012.

Lopez has other movies in the pipeline, including `Ice Age 4’ and `What To Expect When You’re Expecting.’
