Dirty Politics It Is

CBI has been misused. Amit Shah’s fate will be decided by the efficient Indian Judiciary system. Congress is desperate to spoil Mr. Narendra Modi’s image, as they see him as a PM candidate that is for sure. I believe Mr. Modi will find a way from this dirty politics also, to turn around the situation in his favor. Also, development oriented people of Gujarat and entire country’s well wishes are with Mr. Shah and Mr. Modi. But this is a perfect example of Congress’s dirty politics to abolish the competition. There were 1700 encounters in the country and CBI is only investigating one in Gujarat, evidence enough that this agency is being misused.

Congress Bureau of Investigation

Can any body in their dreams accept the statement of our highly respected Prime Minister Mr.Manmohan Singh that CBI is not Congress Bureau of Investigation? It indicates the bankruptcy in Indian politics? Why should he put his reputation under danger in making such shocking and unbelievable statement? What did CBI do in Bofor’s case? What did it do in case of Delhi Sikh killings? What it did in case of Laalu, Mayavati, Mulayam etc? It acts very promptly when their mentors in power want the way they want. If congress government falls then there may be more approvers in CBI itself telling anybody and everybody that congress forced us to act in particular way.

Wikileaks confirms Pak’s terrorism support

Every sane person knows about Pakistan’s deceit, blackmail and double game, only we, though being aware of the Pakistani game, still feed them with billions of dollars every year and sophisticated arms. And the recent reports posted on Wikileaks merely confirms that. If the USA and the world powers want to win the war then first they need to deal with Pakistan strictly. Pakistan is not only helping Al-Qaida and Taliban but is exporting terrorists and terrorism worldwide. There are thousands of factories in Pakistan to manufacture and export the terrorists and the world has to act on that.

Murk in Indian Hockey
Former Hockey coach M K Kaushik should be sent behind the bars or else most likely he will influence the investigation or may try to force player to drop the case. This is a clearcut case of molestation/ sexual harassment. Media reports say he may sue the association but that should not stop Hockey India from taking steps to punish him. On a lighter side, the girls were meant to whirl their hockey sticks on ground, they might as well had gathered themselves and given him a good taste of his coaching with their hockey sticks!

Hats off to Americans
The US justice department has filed a lawsuit against the owner and management of an apartment complex at Renton in Washington state for racial discrimination against Indians who were treated less favorably than other tenants and even told to “go back” to India. The lawsuit seeking monetary damages and an order barring further discrimination was filed in the US district court for the western district of Washington and named as defendants Summerhill Place LLC — the owner of Summerhill Place Apartments; GRAN Inc. — the management company; and Rita Lovejoy — the former on site manager. The suit alleges, among other things, that the defendants steered Indian tenants away from one of the five buildings at Summerhill, treated tenants from India less favorably than other tenants and discouraged African-Americans, Hispanics and families with children from living at Summerhill. I believe this can happen only in America, the land which promises liberty and freedom to immigrants from all over, who wish to make this country their home. While I was in India, a decade back, I remember, people didn’t like to assimilate with migrants from other Indian states, leave alone country. And then we are divided on class, caste, region, religion, color, and what not. Half of the South India doesn’t want to speak the national language Hindi! There’s so much to learn from Americans.

First India Day Parade in Atlantic City
I recently heard about the first India Day Parade being held in the Atlantic City. I think this is a great idea and is bound to generate a lot of interest among visitors on the boardwalk. Such parades showcasing our culture should be organized by Indians spread all over the country at popular public places, it will generate goodwill for our country and help strengthen the people to people ties between both countries apart from creating a buzz among the generation next and getting them involved in the history of India.

RIP Divyendu Sinha

It was shocking to hear about the tragic death of Dr Divyendu Sinha. The incident brings to light the ugly face of racism if that happens to be the reason behind such a brutal attack. While hate crimes, particular against Indians may not be a regular occurrence, this incident has left us all shaken. The perpetrators of the crime need to be punished hard that’s one part but my heart goes to the family members who lost their loved one. May god give them the courage and support to bear the grief.
