Vishal Dadlani Takes Action Against Irresponsible Media Coverage of Mumbai Attacks

Singer and music director Vishal Dadlani of the Vishal-Shekhar duo (Shabd, Dus, Om Shaanti Om,Tashan, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Dostana) has taken a stand against the irresponsible live telecast by news channels which revealed the plans of the military and NSG during the anti-terrorism operations in Mumbai. Terrorists involved in the attacks had access to TV sets, satellite phones, Blackberry phones, etc. through which they found out the details of the army’s operations which were meant to be classified yet were still broadcasted by the news media. Vishal has filed an online petition against the news coverage which may have endangered the lives of many military officers, NSG members, hostages and other innocent people during the Mumbai attacks in November. Vishal Dadani hopes that the courts will make this a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) to speed things up.
