Golmaal Returns: Preview

After the hilarious Golmaal, Rohit Shetty is back with Golmaal Returns, releasing on October 30. So what’s the film all about? Ajay Devgan portrays the role of Gopal who lives with his wife Ekta (Kareena Kapoor), a diehard fan of Balaji soaps, sister Esha (Amrita Arora) and a dumb brother-in-law Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor). Gopal saves a lady named Meera (Celina Jaitly) from goons one day. And then begins the trouble—Gopal gets stuck on a yacht and ends up spending the night with Meera. Ekta smells something fishy when Gopal returns and to put an end to her doubts, Gopal lies to her that he spent the night with a fictitious friend named Anthony Gonsalves. He even gives Ekta a fictitious address for Anthony. Ekta ends up sending Anthony a letter asking him to meet her. Gopal convinces his colleague Laxman (Shreyas Talpade) to take on the role of Anthony and all goes well until they find out that the address Ekta sent the letter to is real. Furthermore, a dead body is found where Gopal had saved Meera. Esha’s boyfriend Mahadav (Arshad Warsi), an Investigating Officer who doesn’t get along with Gopal, finds out that he was missing that night and begins suspecting him. Mahadav’s investigation results in comical situations, chaos and the invention of new lies to cover up the old ones!
