Priyadarshan Gets Serious Again

After winning a lot of praise and awards for Kanchivaram, Priyadarshan will be making another meaningful film, this time dealing with the subject of A.I.D.S. He will be signing Aamir Khan for the film in addition to South Indian superstar Mohan Lal. Priyadarshan has normally made comic  films for Bollywood, so this will be a nice change. Priyadarshan’s comic film De Dhana Dhan is also set for release this month. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia, Sameera Reddy, Asrani and Johnny Lever.

Khanabadosh?

Since the release of London Dreams’ Original Sound Tracks (OST), composed by the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio, a lot of listeners have been wondering what “khanabadosh” exactly means. Director Vipul Shah explains, “It’s a Persian word, which means gypsy or nomad.” Shah also reveals that when lyricist Prasoon Joshi initially suggested this word, he found it “extremely interesting and unusual. I asked him to give me some time to sleep over it and get used to it. After a while I loved it.”

UTV’s 3 Year Deal With Anurag Kashyap

UTV recently announced an exclusive association with director and screenwriter Anurag Kashyap. Kashyap will be directing 4-5 movies produced by UTV and creatively producing another 4-5 films within this 3-year period. The deal consists of a total of 9 films over the course of the
next 3 years. Looks like Dev D’s success has worked wonders for the talented Kashyap. However, let’s hope quantity doesn’t ruin quality!
