Actor Nirmal Pandey is No More

Bollywood actor Nirmal Pandey, who gave excellent performances in films including “Bandit Queen,” “Daayraa,” “Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahin,” “Godmother,” “Train to Pakistan,” “One 2 ka 4,” “Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya,” “Hadh Kar Di Aapne,” “Kedi” and television shows such as “Hatim,” “Khel,” “Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag” died on February 18, after a heart attack. He is survived by two children and his wife Archana Pandey. The actor was only 48 years old. Born in Nainital, Pandey was an alumnus of the National School of Drama in Delhi. He was a trained classical singer who released an album called Jazba in 2002. He had also directed a play called Andhayug. Nirmal Pandey’s film “Lahore” will release on March 19. The film’s director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan said he spoke with Pandey two days before his death regarding shooting the making of the film for the DVD. May Pandey’s soul rest in peace.

Aishwarya Not Suffering from Stomach TB

Recently Mumbai tabloids reported that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has stomach tuberculosis. Amitabh and Abhishek are appalled by these false reports. Tabloids falsely claimed that the 37 year old actress is suffering from stomach TB and the medications have prevented her from getting pregnant. Rai will be seen opposite her husband Abhishek Bachchan in Mani Ratnam’s “Raavan.”

From “Taare Zameen Par” to “Zokkomon”

Child artist Darsheel Safary, who won praise and awards for his performance in “Taare Zameen Par” will be playing the role of a superhero in the film Zokkomon. He’s very excited about getting to fly through the air, over buildings and rescuing people. “What's more I had my own special really cool costume, like Superman's cape--even better,” said an excited Safary.

Dia Mirza, Hrithik Roshan & Boman Irani Join Twitter

After King Khan and Deepika Padukone, now Hrithik Roshan, Boman Irani and Dia Mirza have also joined the Twitter bandwagon. Within just a short amount of time Mirza has acquired over 3,300 followers and Roshan has acquired over 39,600 followers. Within just a few hours of joining Twitter, Boman Irani had over 2,700 followers. Looks like Bollywood celebrities are really waking up to the concept of social media!
