Manisha Koriala to Tie the Knot
Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has recently returned to Mumbai after shooting for a Malayalam film in Kerala and has announced that she will be getting married to Kathmandubased businessman Samrat. After her marriage Manisha Koirala will spend more time there than in Mumbai.
Samrat and Manisha were friends for quite some time. Finally friendship evolved into love and they will get married on June 19.
John Abraham and Asin to Appear On-screen Together
John Abraham will be acting in a Vipul Shah production, which is an Hindi adaptation of a Tamil film called “Kaakha Kaakha.” He will appear on-screen with Asin. Abraham will play the role of a special squad officer and is working hard to get in shape for the role.
Ready to hit the floors by early summer of 2010, the film will be directed by Nishikant Kamat who earlier directed critically acclaimed film “Mumbai Meri Jaan.”
Kareena and Shahid “Milenge Milenge” for Publicity?
The release of Boney Kapoor production “Milenge Milenge” has been delayed for quite some
time. Boney Kapoor has finally locked in June or July as the release time for the film. Shahid
Kapoor has shown enthusiasm for promoting the film and shot a music video composed by
Himesh Reshammiya. Boney Kapoor approached Kareena Kapoor regarding the film’s publicity
before she left for Goa to shoot for “Ra One.” He told the media, “Now the release would depend
entirely on when Kareena allots the dates to shoot the music video…So, yes, the release is now
in Bebo’s hands.”
“Inglourious Basterds” Producer Eyes Bollywood
Lawrence Bender, producer of “Inglourious Basterds” attended the FICCI frames in Mumbai. Bender revealed he came to India to talk to various Indian producers regarding making a film in Mumbai. Bender also showed his film “Countdown to Zero” and spoke at the conference.
Looks like another example of Bollywood-Hollywood collaboration
SRK Wins Global Entertainment & MediaPersonality Award
King Khan was presented the Global Entertainment and Media Personality Award at FICCI Frames 2010 Excellence Awards. The Global Icon of the Year Award went to AR Rahman. Amitabh Bachhan and Vidya Balan won the best actor awards for “Paa,” while Rajkumar Hirani won the best film and best director award for “3 Idiots.” Pritam Chakraborty won the best music director award for “Love Aaj Kal” and Ranbir Kapoor won the best entertainment award.

Kajol, the Favorite Bahu
Married to actor Ajay Devgan for over 11 years, Kajol was voted the favorite daughter-in-law by an Indian matrimonial site. 250,000 women participated in the poll and 43% voted for Kajol.
Aishwarya Rai, Gauri Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora, Twinkle Khanna and Kiran Rao were other candidates. Way to go, Kajol!
Krrish, Part 2?
Rumors are that Rakesh Roshan is going to begin filming the sequel to “Krrish” by September 2010. Initially people thought Priyanka Chopra will play the lead role, however now there is much speculation that Deepika Padukone will play the lead.
Hrithik Roshan’s much anticipated other film “Kites” will release later on in 2010.
