Mac Mohan Passes Away
Mac Mohan, Samba from the Bollywood classic Sholay, recently passed away after losing his battle to cancer.
Maternal uncle of Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, Mac Mohan began his Bollywood career in 1964 with Haqeeqat. He acted in over 190 films in a career spanning almost 5 decades! Recently, Mac Mohan did a cameo appearance in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance. May his soul rest in peace!

Jiah Khan House- Hunting in London
Jiah Khan (Nishabd, Ghajini, Housefull) has revealed that she will be starring in two Hollywood projects and that one of the two projects is, "an adaptation of a classic English play."
Khan also revealed in a Tweet that she has been house-hunting in London for over a month. She will head over to Italy in October for the shooting of one of her Hollywood projects but did not want to reveal any details yet.

Priyanka Chopra to Star in Don 2
Priyanka Chopra has signed Don 2 and will begin the 3 ½ months long shooting for the film in October. In the meantime she is listening to other scripts for next year. Chopra revealed to the media that she will be doing lots of stunts in Don 2.
Chopra is looking forward to the release of Anjaana Anjaani and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. Supposedly, the busy actress will soon also take up singing professionally!

Tanushree Dutta at NYFA
Tanushree Dutta, who appeared in films including Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Chocolate, Bhagam Bhag, Risk, Raqueeb, Dhol and Apartment, is currently in the United States at the New York Film Academy, enrolled in a short film course.
"I am going there to brace myself for more realistic cinema," said Dutta. She added, "I will be in New York to participate in a fifteen-day workshop in acting at New York University. It's very important for every actor to renew and refurbish their skills."

Khan Vs. Khan
The tiff between Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan, which seemed to be ending is not really over. SRK recently admitted in the media that he and Salman no longer talk to each other and that he is okay with it. He mentioned although they do not intentionally try to avoid each other, they do not try to go out of their way to greet each other either. Let’s hope the divide between the Karan-Arjun joddi soon heals!

 

Katrina & Rahman
Release Nursery Rhymes Music Album
Internationally acclaimed music composer A.R. Rahman and Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif recently launched a music album of nursery rhymes for children, titled Rhymeskool. The album has been released under the Sa Re Ga Ma banner.
"Education for children is something that is very important for this country. It's a topic that is very close to my mother's and my heart," said Kaif. The pretty actress will also distribute CDs of the album to the Mercy Home orphanage, which she and her mother are associated with.

Boman Irani Fulfilling His Dreams
For many a Bollywood career is a dream. But, have you ever wondered what those in tinsel town dream of? Versatile actor Boman Irani, who began his film career at the age of 44 and has won appreciation for his performances in a vast array of films ranging from Darna Mana Hai, Munna Bhaai MBBS, Lagge Raho Munna Bhaai, My Wife’s Murder, Sorry! Bhaai, Khosla Ka Ghosla, to Well Done Abba, 99 has always dreamed of playing the guitar.
Recently, the actor finally started to take guitar lessons. Back from his first guitar lesson, Irani tweeted, "Back from my 1st guitar lesson. My teacher says my fingers aren't good enough to pick my own nose!! Both my hands strum at the same time."

Vidya Balan Bags Smita Patil Memorial Award
Talented actress Vidya Balan, recently seen in "Paa" and "Ishqiya," will be conferred with the Smita Patil Memorial Award for her contribution to the film industry. Actresses who previously received the award include Preity Zinta, Yash Chopa, Karishma Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit and Kareena Kapoor.
The biennial award ceremony, held by the Priyadarshini Academy since 1984, will take place at the Oberoi Hotel in Mumbai on September 19 this year.
